Marine

The ever-increasing electronic content and continuous technological advancements in the marine sector make it one of the most challenging markets to manufacture for.

Whether we are manufacturing electronics for use in windscreen wipers for boats, engines for inland waterways, radars or satellite uplinks, the products we supply to marine mechanical and electrical systems are critical to the management of navigation technology, safety and security. As such, there is a great emphasis on exceptional quality and zero-defect production.

Withstanding the elements

We understand that it is crucial that each component in a marine product is of the highest quality and capable of withstanding the elements — including corrosive salt spray, wind or hydrostatic pressures — in harsh conditions. In this field, ingress protection is also critical to ensure product reliability and performance. Products that will be subject to long-term immersion in water or powerful high-pressure water and steam jets will need to have the highest ingress protection ratings of IP68 and IP69K, respectively.

At Liad Electronics, we offer a range of electronics manufacturing services, including printed circuit board assembly and cable assembly. Through these services, we deliver robust and reliable electronic modules that are guaranteed to succeed when tested against harsh elements. Our low-pressure and high-pressure overmoulding and potting and encapsulation capabilities also allow us to manufacture bespoke, fully sealed electronic sub-assemblies and cables that are fit for use both above and below the water.

We only manufacture electronics to the highest quality levels, including IPC-A-610 standards for PCB assemblies and IPC/WHMA-A-620 for cable assemblies. When manufacturing electronics modules and sub-assemblies for the marine sector, we carefully consider the demands of the final application so that we can advise on the most suitable components and electronics manufacturing solution.
